===========================

Thomas (Tom) Waters, married Molly Farmer. He apparently lived on what was later the Rufus Waters place on Buffalo near Hasty.
He was living there with this son when I first knew him. He sometimes visited in the Doc Waters home when I stayed there and was a very interesting visitor.

He died in the spring (April I think) of 1948 of a diabetic coma. I recall sitting up with him all night in
the McCoy Hospital at Harrison just a day or two before his death.

His funeral was held in the Yardelle Cemetery on a bright Sunday morning, preached by Rev. George Turney of Harrison. I remember the unusual sight of so many aged brothers and sisters at that service.' - Victor N. Phillips, 'The New Ozark Cousins.'
