HOMER- Mrs Clara L Wetherbee 79 who lived on a Centennial Farm on Route e Homer Clarendon Twp died Thursday afternoon at Sheldon Memorial Hospital in Albion after an illness of 10 months.

She was born in Clarendon Twp the daughter of Edward R and Florence (Chapin) Ballentine.

On Dec 17 1901 she and W.G Wetherbee were married in Clarendon Twp.

He died July 14 1963.

Mrs Wetherbee was a member of the Homer Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Past Matrons Club, the Presbyterian Ladies Aid, the Bentley Corner Farm Bureau and was a charter member of the North Clarendon Ladies Aid.

She is survived by one son, Benjamin E Wetherbee of Detroit, one daughter Mrs Ruth M Grodi of Homer, one granddaughter Mrs Clair (Jeanne Anne) Dowding of Homer, three great grandchildren, one brother, Roy Ballentine of Hastings, Mrs Bert (Lillie) Gregg of Homer, and Mrs Verner (Marie) Fleece of Battle Creek.
