Jay G. Fedewa was born Feb. 29, 1879, in Lincoln and died Jan. 10, 1942, at his home north of town, at the age of 62. He was the son of John A. Fedewa, pioneer of Lancaster county. He had worked for two leading contractors for many years. He was married to Libbie Berger, now deceased. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Neumann, sister, Mrs. L Curtin, two nephews, two nieces and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at Castle, Roper & Matthews. Rev. Walter Aitken officiating, and burial was in Wyuka.
