Patty Ann Striker, 35, of Athens, died Monday, April 10, 2000.

A native and resident of McMinn County for most of her life and former resident of Omaha, Neb., she and her husband owned and operated Strikers’ Premium Winery.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Athens Area Chamber of Commerce and the American Winery Association. She was a graduate of Bellview College and studied at Oxford University in England.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Boyd and Louise Gibbs and Litton Moses.

Survivors include her husband, Stanley Francis Striker; two daughters, Candice Negretie and Sabrina Ann Striker; two sons, Stanley Ty Striker and Donnie Ray Morrow, all of Athens; her father, Thomas L. Moses of Soddy-Daisy; her mother, Sheila Gibbs Derrick of Calhoun; one sister, Janet Moses of Soddy-Daisy; three brothers, Jeff Moses and Martin Moses, both of Athens, and Walter Moses of Soddy-Daisy; her paternal grandmother, Orgie Belcher Moses of Decatur; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Joseph Fiedorowicz officiating. The Rosary will be 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home of Athens is in charge of arrangements.

She was found by co-workers murdered at Striker's Winery.
