Elma Norine Nannini, passed away at the age of 88. Norine graduated from Pasadena Junior College and worked in the legal department at First National Bank in Los Angeles. While attending a dance, she met Charles (Charlie) Nannini, who was in the Army and stationed in Los Angeles during the early days of WWII. They soon married June 1, 1943 in Alhambra, CA and had the first of two children, Mike.
Upon Charlie's discharge from the Army, they moved to Wells. There Norine raised their two children and worked hand-in-hand with her husband, creating a successful business, the 4-Way Casino. They also raised and showed champion Quarter Horses.
Norine loved the ocean and was a lifeguard and swim instructor for many years. She was very involved with the church where she graciously volunteered her time. She enjoyed gathering with friends and family, storytelling, playing pinochle and cooking for her family.
Norine was preceded in death by her parents, James Millard and Ora Marie Price Fix, and her husband, Charles M. Nannini, Sr. She is survived by her children, Mike (Lois) Nannini of Wells and Diane Montgomery of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren, Diane (Dee) Nannini of Las Vegas; Monica Nannini of Reno; Clay Davis of Lubbock, Texas; Charlene Knox of Las Vegas; Leigh-Anne (Calvin) Calhoun of Redvale, Colorado; Clay (Jolene) Nannini of Kimberly, Idaho; and Emily (Robert) York of New York. She especially adored her nine great-grandchildren.
