She was born March 4, 1928, in Nail to the late Milner and Nancy Laughter.
She had a gift for loving and caring for people, she used this gift, daily as a nurse. She loved her Jesus and read and studied her Bible daily.
Survivors include a daughter, Jamie Stephens (Mark) of Bay; three sisters, Paula Davis of Deer, Joan Rooker of Brandon, Miss. and Judy Dollars of Elkins; two step-sons, Harry Moore, Jr. (Jane) of Wichita Falls, Texas and Cliff Moore (Kathy) of Western Grove; two step-daughters, Lela Bush (Jim) and Gail Moore all of Choctaw, Okla.; a grandson, John Stephens of Bay, fourteen step-grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Gilbert; her second husband, Harry Moore; three brothers, Dempsey Laughter, James Alvin Laughter and Macks Laughter; a sister, Belva Irene Laughter and a step-son, Jimmy Ace Gilbert.
A celebration of her life was held at the First Baptist Church in Deer. Burial was at Deer Cemetery under the direction of Gregg Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Honored to serve as pallbearers were: Dennis Davis, Dean Davis, Allen Davis, James Dale Davis, Tommy Davis and Darrell Davis.
Honorary pallbearers were her Sunday School Class, Chester Gilbert, Garland Wood and all grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
