Visitation will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg with full military rites performed by Olney veterans organizations.
Mr. Lame was born June 20, 1928, in Richland County, the son of Alfred and Zelmer (Woodruff) Lame. He married Lorena Marie Nichols on May 4, 1957, in Richland County. She survives.
He had worked in the oilfield. He was a member of Local Union 841. He loved river fishing, camping and gardening.
Mr. Lame is survived by his wife, Lorena Marie Lame, of Olney; daughter, Barbara Lynch and her husband, Robert, of Casey; son, Rick Lame, of Noble; daughter, Peggy Kermicle and her husband, Gary, of Dundas; son, Ted Lame and his partner, Jamie, of Olney; grandkids, Rebecca, Jeremy, Justin, Jennifer, Christopher, Mandy, Julie, Rusty, Christy, Jim and Robert; and great-grandkids, Kierstin, Landon and Owen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Zelmer Lame; brothers and sisters, Ellis, Herb, Rollis, Irl, Alfred Jr., Elizabeth, Trella, Allene and one infant sister.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
