Age 28, of Wilmington, DE, formerly of Earleville, MD, went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 12, 2011, after a valiant battle with heart disease in INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute, Fairfax, VA.

She was born in Washington, D.C. on October 11, 1982, daughter of Ed and Brenda Wilson Norleen. Brandy was a 2000 graduate of Bohemia Manor High School and was attending Wilmington University. She was currently working for Critical Path Services as a technical writer and was a gifted freelance writer. A devout Christian and a member of Real Life Community Church where she taught Sunday school. She also was a volunteer for Red Cross, and worked hard to bring the AHCA Walk to Delaware. She cherished the world she lived in.

Brandy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Laura Wilson and her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Norleen. She is survived by her husband of 13 months, Andrew Hale; her parents, Ed and Brenda Norleen; her sister, Dixie Lee Pierce; her BFF, Jodee DeVillier; C4U, paternal grandfather, Walter Norleen, in-laws, Mike and Karen Hale; nieces; Alexis R. Orr and Elizabeth S. Pierce, sisters-in-law, Sarah Hale and Laura Palkovitz, brothers-in-law, Matthew Hale and Ian Palkovitz, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She will be missed by her beloved cats, Stitch and Ashie.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 17 from 6-9 pm, in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18 at 1 pm in Zion United Methodist Church, 168 W. Main St. Cecilton, MD. Burial in Zion Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Adult Congenital Heart Association, 6757 Greene St. Suite 335, Philadelphia, PA, 19119-ACHAHEART.ORG; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
