The former Esther Gueldher, she was born June 15, 1895 in Pepin County to Frank and Adela Gueldner. She was graduated from Mondovi High School and Eau Claire Normal. She taught school in rural Mondovi and Mondovi City for nine years and was rnarried June 29, 1922 to Edward A. Linse. They farmed in the Town of Modena until 10 years ago when they moved to Mondovi.
Mrs. Linse was chairman of the Homemakers Club in Buffalo County; County Cancer Memorial Chairman; received, as first runner up, a certificate of merit as Mother of the Year for the state of Wisconsin, was president of the Ladies Aid, of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Modena and Lutheran Women's Missionary District Chairman for several years. She was also leader of 4-H and other youth organizations.
Survivors are her husband; two daugrhters, Mrs. Harry (Irma ) Sletten, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Melvin (Lois) Gleiter, Eau Claire: five grandchildren and one brother Gustave Gueldner, Mondovi.
Funeral services were Saturday, August 24, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Victor Bittner officiating.
Burial was at Oak Park Cemetery.
