Mrs. Barbara Sater, 65, widow of Henry Sater, following a lingering illness of heart trouble and diseases incident, died at her home in Washington township, Thursday, May 10th. The funeral was last Sunday under the supervision of Rev. Davis, interment in Morris Chapel cemetery.
Deceased is survived by five children, viz: Mrs. Alonzo Oldfield, Mrs. James Hardesty, Fred Sater, Mrs. Charles Krepole and Miss Estella Sater. She was an aunt to County Auditor Sater. Those from Logan attending the funeral were Auditor and Mrs. W. H. Sater, John Sater and Mrs. Wm. Sater.

Barbara Miller, daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Miller was born at Logan, Ohio, March 29, 1852 and died at her farm home near Ewing, Ohio, May 10, 1917, at the age of 65 years, 2 months and 11 days. In 1869 she was united in marriage to Henry Sater and to this union were born five children--all of whom are still living. Namely Mollie Oldfield, of South Bloomingville, May Hardesty of Detroit, Mich., J. F. Sater of near Rockbridge, Blanche Kreppel of Nelsonville and Estella Sater who remains at home.
There are also 18 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two brothers and one sister. The deceased was a member of the Morris Chapel M. E. church retaining her membership until death.
Thirteen years ago her loving companion preceded her to the spirit world. She often spoke of going to be with father. She waited patiently, like Job, all her appointed days and then quietly slipped away and was not, because God took her. Her chief thoughts were of her loved ones who this hour mourn the loss of a loving mother. If it was possible this day to receive a message from her I think it would be this. "Don't grieve for me for I am happy, free from pains, but do prepare yourselves for your eternal and everlasting future that you may glorify your Savior and be reunited with me, where in the Paradise of God I am happy with all my loved ones."
She was a noble woman, kind and considerate for the welfare of every acquaintance. In distress and trouble she was an angel, a comforter, self-sacrificing and denying. She was a friend of the distressed and forsaken and unflinchingly bore their temporal burdens. The poor, the needy were her especial consideration. She was a true comforter in spiritual matters and helped to brush aside many dark clouds and let the sunlight in. She was a bright light to every comer in distress. She was a christian and has gone to enjoy her reward.
Her funeral was conducted by her pastor, Rev. Davis, and interment in Morris Chapel cemetery.
