Mrs. Mary E. Oldfield, 84, of 306 Church St., widow of Alonzo Oldfield, died at 11:30 p.m. yesterday at Hocking Valley Hospital, where she had been admitted a few hours earlier.
The daughter of the late Henry and Barbara Miller Sater, she was born in Hocking County and lived all of her life here. She was a member of the Logan Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son Chauncey of Logan Rt. 2; a daughter, Mrs. McKinley Mauk, Logan; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. William Hankison, Nelsonville RFD, and Mrs. Charles Kreppel, Athens.
Friends may call at Leonard Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held there Saturday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Stanley Benton will officiate, assisted by the Rev. A. N. Grueser.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
