Noah "Bud" Edward Lambert, 83, died Wednesday November 5, 2008, at his residence. He was the son of the late Espy & Macie Fink Brown Lambert.

He was educated in the Cabarrus County schools and retired from Fieldcrest Cannon after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Landis Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre. He was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 8989.

He was preceded in death by a son,.

Husband 38 years of Blanche Baker Lambert

He is also survived by sons, James Edward Lambert & Randy Darnell Tutterow, both of Kannapolis; daughters, Janice Faye Hagler, Rockwell, Betty Jean Welch, Troutman, Hilda Smith, China Grove, & Kathy Almond, Kannapolis; brother Doyet Lambert, Salisbury; 21 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

A service was held Sunday, November 9, 2008, at the Landis Baptist Church, Landis; Rev. Billy Honeycutt officiated. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park with military rites by the Cabarrus County Veteran's Honor Guard.

Memorials may be made to the Landis Baptist Church, 110 N. Kimmons St., Landis, NC 28088 or Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
