Arno Myers was born October 13, 1890 in Searsboro Iowa, to John Thomas Myers and Anna "Kate" English Myers.

He married Sylvia May Saunders (1891-1975) and they moved to Oregon between 1910 and 1917. In 1917, Arno and Sylvia lived in east rural Salem with Arno's parents, and Arno worked as a farmer. They had a daughter, Hazel, in 1919. Arno, Sylvia, and Hazel were living with Arno's parents in 1920 in east Salem, Oregon. At the time Arno registered for the draft in 1942, he lived in West Salem, Polk County, and worked for Oregon Pulp and Paper Co. After the war he opened a gunsmith shop in West Salem.

Arno died January 9, 1971, at the age of 80, and was buried at City View Cemetery.
