Roger W. Darby, well-known retired farmer and native of Dawsonville, died at his home, suddenly, Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. of a heart attack.
He was born at Dawsonville in 1878, a son of the late Lawrence A. and Sally Chiswell Darby.
He was a member of the Baptist church.
Surviving are his brother and sister, Mrs. William L. Lewis, Kensington, and Thomas Chiswell Darby, Dawsonville.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. (DST), today at the late residence in Dawsonville. Rev. L. S. Dove officiated. Interment was in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. William B. Hilton, funeral director.
