Kennedy Foster is Suicide Victim; Found In Barn
New Hartford Resident Had Been In Poor Health Recently
Kennedy "Cam" Foster, well known resident of the New Hartford Dutch Creek neighborhood, was a suicide victim Wednesday at his home.
His wife discovered his body in the barn about 2:30 p.m. and notified Sheriff Griffeth. The sheriff said Mr. Foster had apparently hooped baling wire around his neck to take his life.
Mrs. Foster said her husband had eaten dinner Wednesday noon, and shortly thereafter went to the barn. Coroner Plattner conducted an inquiry into the death, finding death by hanging with suicidal intent.
Mr. Foster was born April 7, 1876 in Rockport, IL. He is survived by his wife, Velma; two sons, Charles Foster and Walter Foster of New Canton; four daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Jessie) Lynch and Mrs. Emerson (Mary) Ator of Rockport; Mrs. Maggie Robertson of Cottage Hills, IL, Mrs. Manford (Florence) Holcomb of Barry.
Funeral Services for Mr. Foster will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the New Hartford Christian Church in charge of Rev.(obit was cut off)
