Luella Enberg, 91, of Everett passed away June 3, 2007.
Luella was born in Bowbells, North Dakota of Norwegian and Danish heritage to Sam and Dora Berg. She grew up on a farm with her five siblings. She married Charles Gleave and had two sons, Duane, born in North Dakota and Ken who was born in Everett. She married Henry Enberg in 1945 and had her third son Randy.
Luella was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked at Sears and Roebuck store and K-mart for many years. She also owned a grocery store for about four years which she loved. She travelled often with her sisters to her roots in Norway and Denmark. She also travelled with her sons to many places in this country.
She was a very artistic person with her many paintings that her family and friends enjoy and hang with pride. She also was very talented in her sewing of auto upholstery for her sons in the 50's. Tatting was a hobby that she enjoyed as a child.
Luella is survived by sons, Duane (Pamela) Gleave and Randy (Barbara) Enberg; daughter-in-law, Sharon (Gayle) Kindred; step-children, Keane (Connie) Enberg, Karen (Bob) McKinney, and Mike (Norma) Enberg; her beloved sisters, Edna Short, Ethel (Don) Briggs and Mary (Bob) Torbenson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; and son, Kenneth; sisters, Margaret Lien and Alice Riggins.
She will be greatly missed by all and she will always be in our hearts and minds. She was truly a very special person to all who knew her.
Visitation will be from noon - 5 p.m., Wednesday and 9 a.m. - 7 p.m., Thursday. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 8, 2007, at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park. A memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2324 Lombard Avenue, Everett, WA 98201.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements entrusted to Purdy & Walters with Cassidy, Everett.
