Arthur White, son of Henry and Mary White, was born near Sligo, Missouri on August 21, 1888 and grew to manhood in this vicinity.

He was married to Nettie Smith on November 15, 1914. To this union were born two children, Hazel and James, who reside in Maplewood, Missouri. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by three granddaughters, Doris, Ruth and Lois White, two sisters, Mrs. Kate Smith of Montery Park, California and Mrs. Margie Lehman of Santa Monica, California, nine nieces, fifteen nephews and numerous friends.

About 1919, he and his family moved to St. Louis, where he resided until his retirement. Since then he has spent much time on his farm near Cherryville, Missouri.

He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized several years ago.

After a long illness he passed away at his home in Maplewood, Missouri on August 16, 1958.

Funeral services were conducted Monday, at 2:00 pm at the Halbert Funeral Home Chapel, the Reverend Sam L. Roper and Mr. Dick Smith officiating. Interment New Home Cemetery.
