Ida B. Tenney
Ida Belle Tenney, 86, of Buckhannon, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, in St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon.
She was born Oct. 23, 1923, at Tallmansville, a daughter of the late Virgil and Ora Belle Fox Ours.
On June 22, 1940, she married Arnold Tenney, who preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1994.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, Christopher and Kevin Tenney; two sisters, Wilda and Izella Tenney; and two brothers, Harold and Sanford Ours.
She is survived by two sons, Gohen C. Tenney of Buckhannon and Vernon Irvin Tenney and wife, Barbara, of Buckhannon; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Cussins and husband, John, of Buckhannon; two grandsons, Doug Tenney and wife, Melissa, of Buckhannon and Daniel Irvin Tenney of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Charlotte Tenney and husband, Mark, of Lexington, Ky.; four great-granddaughters, Julia C. Tenney of Buckhannon, Sarah Vance of Ellamore, Devan Tenney of Lexington, Ky., and DeAnna Tenney of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Noble Ours of Rittman, Ohio, and Robert Ours of Buckhannon; and two sisters, Betty Gifford of Buckhannon and Patty Mahan of Texas.
Mrs. Tenney was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. She was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness.
Friends will be received Saturday, Nov. 28, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Elder Arthur Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
