Stafford – Emmett Lahue, 83, of Berne died Monday night at his home following a short illness. He was a farmer. Mr. Lahue was a member of the Berne Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth; Five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Crum, Mrs. Lucinda Ball and Mrs. Mary Crum all of Berne; Mrs. Hattie Eberly and Mrs. Selma Hardesty, both of Canton; one sister, Mrs. Maude Moore of Lorain; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body has been returned to the family home from the Mallett Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Berne Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Berne Cemetery.
