During World War II, he served in civilian public service camps in Grottoes, Va.; Norristown; and Powellsville, Md.
He enjoyed hunting.
Born in Marion Station, Md., he was the son of the late Melvin J. and Minnie E. Yoder Baker.
He was married for 50 years to Floy E. Wenger Baker.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons... two daughters... 22 grandchildren' and a great-grand-daughter.
Also surviving are three brothers... and five sisters.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda J. Weaver, a brother, Francis, and two grandchildren.
