Jessica Star Blevins, 22, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie.

She was born in Smyth County and was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Poston Blevins, grandmother Vernice Blevins and grandmother and grandfather Poston.

Survivors include her father and step-mother, Michael and Doris Blevins of Seven Mile Ford; special foster parents/aunt and uncle, Claudine and Scott McCormick of Chilhowie; grandfather and step-grandmother, Gilbert L. and Dolly Blevins; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and James Rose of Groseclose; foster sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Luther Williams of Chilhowie; step-sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and Daniel Warner of Lebanon; half-brother, Derrick Blevins of Seven Mile Ford; four nephews and a niece, Payton Rose, Ashton Rose, Dalton Rose, Colton Williams and Caleb Warner; and many very loving family members.

Funeral services were held at the Chilhowie First Church of God with the Rev. Bobby Dunn and the Rev. Mickey Taylor officiating. Graveside services were held at the St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Chilhowie. Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie was in charge of arrangements.
