Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the Christian Life Center, 13010 Highway 49, Grass Valley, for John F. Allen-Becker. Mr. Allen-Becker passed away June 21 in Big Oak Valley. He was 28.
Mr. Allen-Becker was born Jan. 2, 1979 to Gayle (Johnson) Becker and Dwayne Allen, in San Jose. He attended Nevada Union High School and was employed for five years by 84 Lumber, where he was the assistant manager.
Mr. Allen-Becker was above all a passionate outdoorsman. He was also an avid gun collector and a supporter of Vietnam veterans.
Mr. Allen-Becker is survived by his mother, Gayle Becker, of Meadow Vista; sister, Deby Bybee, of Grass Valley; nephews Shane and Aaron Bybee, both of Grass Valley, David Crutchfield, of Penn Valley, and Robert Crutchfield, of White Pine, Tenn.; nieces Shawna Crutchfield, of Utah, and Kasey Crutchfield, of Penn Valley; aunts Maryann Hall, of Meadow Vista, Laura Murray, of Folsom, Sheri Courtney, of Saratoga, and Lisa Artley, of Russelville, Ark.; uncle, Noel Johnson, of Medford, Ore.; and father, Dwayne Allen, of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his niece, Holly Gayle Crutchfield, in 1986; sister, Karen Denise Crutchfield, July 15, 2003; and grandmother, Naomi Murray, Dec. 13, 2001.
