Phoebe Parker Drisko, daughter of John and Lucy Worcester (Leighton) Drisko Burns, married Abraham Lincoln Norton, son of Jeremiah Beal Norton and Hannah (Sawyer) Norton, in Addison, Washington, Maine on 15 Dec 1849. Phoebe and Abraham had 7 children. George Edward Norton (1851-1878), Lucy Ada Norton, (1853-1919), John Lincoln Norton (1855-1929)(m. Carrie Bernice Cole), Rebecca Ann (Norton) Mansfield (m. Charles Henry Mansfield), (1858-), Daniel Jeremiah Norton (1860-1910) (m. Helen G Coffey), son Norton (1861-1861), Willie S Norton, (1862-1864). Phoebe accompanied her husband Abraham on an ill-fated religious pilgrimage to Jaffa, Palestine (more information about this journey is noted on her husband Abraham's Find A Grave Memorial Page #50745357). Phoebe died in Palestine, and is buried there. Her husband and children returned to the USA. Phoebe's father, John Drisko, died in 1834 in Addison, Washington, Maine. Her mother, Lucy Worcester remarried John Burns 12 Feb 1839 in Addison. John and Lucy also journeyed to Palestine, John died in Palestine and Lucy returned to the USA and she returned to live in Michigan as did other Pilgrims who journeyed to Palestine on the Schooner Nellie Chapin. RIP dear Phoebe, you rest very far away, but you are forever close in our hearts.
