CARLSBAD -- Funeral services for Charles W. "Chuck" Larrentree, 75, of West Edwards Street, will be Tuesday at 10 am at Denton Funchess Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Jack Drake and Rev. Larry Allison officiating.
Interment will follow at Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Carlsbad.
Friends may call Monday from 10 am to 9 pm at Denton-Funchess Funeral Home.
Mr. Larrentree died Friday, Oct 31, 1997, at Lakeview Christian Home of the Southwest, Northgate Unit. Denton-Funchess Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Charles W. "Chuck" Larrentree was born June 6, 1922 in Charleston, N.C. to Harry and Josephine Larrentree. He grew up in the Fresno, Calif., area.
Mr. Larrentree was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army.
He married Opal White on March 4, 1952, in Roswell. They moved to Carlsbad in the early 1950s. He had worked as a salesman for various auto dealers and other retail businesses.
He was a charter member of the Hillcrest Church of God. He had been a resident of Lakeview Christian Home on Pierce Street for approximately two and a half years.
Survivors include his wife, Opal of Carlsbad; three sons, Kenneth and Dean of Carlsbad and Bill of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Janice Bryant of Ft. Worth and Ann Farrell of Carlsbad; 10 grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and 1 great-great great grandchild.
Pallbearers are Richard Weldon, Tom White, Terry Rushing, Bill Alexander, Karry Prince and Larry Asbury.
