A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Reynolds retired from Swannanoa Laundry as a counter clerk and was formerly the owner and operator of Hawkins Grocery Store. She was a member of Erwin Hills Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Wilbur Roscoe and Ethel Jerline Johnston Hawkins and the wife of the late James Anderson Reynolds.
Surviving are her son, Joe Reynolds of the home; brother, Frank Hawkins of Asheville; grandson, Andy Reynolds and wife, Dawn, of Candler and great-grandson, Leighton Reynolds.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the services at the funeral home.
