Elizabeth was born in Haddington, SCT, to James and Jane (Tweedie) Donaldson, 2nd oldest of 10 children. She married Alexander John Lawson Fowler in Scotland, where they had 4 children. Two had died before they immigrated to Philadelphia, PA in 1880. There they had 5 more children. By 1910 census, only the 3 youngest daughters survived. She was widowed before 1900 census.
Her brothers James (#111900412) and William (#111900661)immigrated to Washington Territory. Both are buried in Sunset Cem, Hoquiam, Grays Harbor, WA.
