Elmer [sic] Abbott, after a five year's illness, passed away, Monday, 1:45 a. m., July 24, at his home in Park street.

Deceased was born in Lyons, Ia., Feb. 15, 1852 [sic], and was 70 years of age. Most of his life had been spent in this section. He suffered a stroke of paralysis five years ago and has been in failing health since.

He was a member of the Batavia Brethren church and Mystics Workers lodge.

He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Ida Partello of Chicago, and Mrs. Del Montgomery of Batavia, and three nieces and one nephew of this city.

Funeral at the Hollister funeral home and the Brethren church, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Kaiser officiating.

Interment in East Side cemetery.

Elmor married his first wife, Estella Wright, in 1883. He married his second wife, Harriet M. Bradley, née Coolidge, in 1888. He married his third wife, Mary E. Peacore, née Ray, on May 19, 1920.
