Luther W. Marconett, Age 88 of Dayton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel & Stella (Mullen); brothers, Ralph D., and Lloyd R. Marconett; sisters, Nellie Vivian Gish, twin infants, Ruth & Ruby, and Eunice Negus Ratliff; and also one son, Robert Joseph in 1954.

Luther is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mildred (Avery); 3 sons, L. Warren (Cathy), Clifford, and P. Douglas (Brenda); 2 daughters, Bonita, and Marietta (Paul) Rogers; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Luther was a longtime member of the Wolf Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3-5 and 6-8 PM at the ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON. Prayers will be held at the funeral home Monday beginning at 9:15 AM. Funeral services will follow at the Wolf Creek Old German Baptist Brethren Church at 10:00 AM with the Home Brethren officiating. Interment will follow at Trissel Cemetery.
