Born 18 Feb. 1850, Giles County TN. Parents moved to Lawrence County MO when Martha was a toddler.

Parents: Robert Stevenson Hillhouse (4 October 1824, Giles County, TN - 30 June 1910, Verona, Lawrence County, MO) and Mary Jane Inman (22 June 1829, Giles County, TN - 2 March 1905, Verona, Lawrence County, MO).

Grandparents: George Hillhouse (11 April 1777, Clinch River, NC - 20 Sept. 1834, Giles County, TN) and Elizabeth Dobbins (29 July 1781, North Carolina - 4 March 1852, Giles County, TN)

and Andrew Inman (B. 1805, TN - D. 1872, Barry County, MO, age 63 years)and Margaret Peery/Perry (D. 24 May 1858, age 53 years, Lawrence County, MO)

Della moved to Wagoner, Wagoner County, OK soon after 1890 to live near her brother-in-law, John W. Gibson. After daughter Della's marriage to Edward Barry Mullins, Martha moved back to Verona, Lawrence Cnty, MO to care for her parents. After her father died, Martha moved to Boynton, Muskogee Cnty, OK to help Della, who separated from her husband, Ed, care for her children. Ca 1929, Martha, daughter Della, and granddaughter, Doris Mullins, moved to Los Angeles, CA.∼Martha Hillhouse was the daughter of Robert Hillhouse and Mary Jane Inman. Born in 1850 in Giles Cnty TN, she moved with her parents and older brother to Lawrence Cnty MO in 1852. Married to 1) James Gibson and 2) Thomas Yandell. Three children: Belle Gibson Gibbs, Connie, and Della Gibson Mullins Leidecker. Moved to Wagoner Cnty ca 1890 to be near brother-in-law, John W. Gibson. Later moved to Los Angeles Cnty with her younger daughter, Della, where she lived until her death.
