Glennon Oscar Thebeau was born September 6, 1918 in Fletcher, MO. He was the 2nd child and 2nd son of John C. and Eugenia Isabelle "Jennie" Thebeau (nee Merseal). His siblings were Joseph Curtis, Helen Marie, and Louis Thomas.

He was called Oscar by his parents and siblings, but was known in his adult life as Glenn. Glenn enlisted in what was then known as the Army Air Force on April 28, 1942.

He married Frances Virginia Minarik in Pennsylvania in 1948. Glenn and Frances had two children, Bruce John and Rebecca. The family lived in various places including Alabama, North Carolina, Germany, and Florida.

Glenn was released from military service on November 30, 1965. He died twelve years later at the age of 58 in Orlando, Florida.
