"Graveside services for Willie Fariss, age 90 of Novice, Texas were held at 3:30 p. m. Tuesday, July 29th at Coleman City Cemetery with Rev. Price Mathison officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home of Brownwood. Mrs. Fariss passed away Sunday, July 27, 2003 at Coleman County Medical Center.

"She was born December 13, 1912 at Goldsboro, Texas, the daughter of the late Theotholus A. and Lura A. Bullard. She was a retired postmaster of Novice postal service. She attended schools in Goldsboro and Novice and had been a resident of Coleman County most of her life. She was a member of Novice Baptist Church. She married James L. Fariss on October 1, 1929 in Coleman County. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1978.

"Survivors include one niece, Leota and husband Rex Cate, of Novice and a nephew, Gene Bullard of Corsicana."
