Jennie P. DeVed, daughter of the late William P. DeVed and his wife, Sarah C. Palen, died at Phillipsport Saturday last. Funeral services were held from the Phillipsport Church Tuesday afternoon, followed by interment in the family plot in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Miss DeVed was a life-long resident of Phillipsport, where she was born September 20, 1865. She was a member of the Methodist Church and active in its work until within a few years past. An accomplished musician, a good neighbor and friend, she will be missed in the community. She leaves one brother, Lamont, and some distant relatives.
