Ida grew up and attended school in Blue Jacket and Strang, graduating from Blue Jacket High School. At the age of 23, she was married to Paul Kelley on October 13, 1940 in California. They made their home in Glendale, California where they had one daughter. She moved to Pryor in the early 80's. She sold Avon and also worked at Sharpe's Department Store. She retired at the age of 62.
She enjoyed crocheting, refinishing furniture, making jewelry and reading. Ida had an amazing spirit and love for life. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Survivors include one daughter and husband; two grandsons and wives;
five great-grandchildren; and one half-sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Eddie Campbell, Zane Campbell, Marie Booten and Lon Campbell.
Funeral services for Ida Kelley, 92, of Pryor will be held on Wednesday afternoon, May 18 at 2:00 at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Reverend Wallace Broyles will officiate with burial following at Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery. Viewing hours will be Monday, May 16 and Tuesday, May 17 from 9am-6pm. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.
