Charles (Donoughe) Donohue, 82, of 1023 South Railroad Avenue, Portage, died Monday, Jan. 15, 1962, in his home. He was the father of Mrs. Mary Stanley, a member of the Portage Dispatch staff. He was born Aug. 17, 1879, in Gallitzin Township, a son of John and Matilda (Benden) Donoughe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah. Mr. Donohue is survived by the following children: John L., Tee Harbor, Juneau, Alaska; Cecil, Petersburg, Alaska; Ray, Philadelphia; Leona, wife of William Seidler, Yonkers, N.Y.; Mrs. Virginia Hook, New York City and Mrs. Stanley, at home. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Josephine Wright of Cambridge, OH, and Mrs. Melissa Litzinger, Ashville R.D. He was a member of Lodge 131 LOOM, Portage. Friends are being received in the Clifford M. Beck Funeral Home, Portage.
Requiem mass will be sung at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Portage. Father John Miller will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Coupon. Mr. Donohue had resided in Portage since 1916.
