Charles Ernest Olson, 1930-2010, resident of Santa Clara. Charles "Chuck" Olson was born May 19, 1930, in Minneapolis, MN, and moved to San Francisco as a young boy. He died on April 29, 2010. He moved to San Carlos in 1942 where he lived until graduating from Sequoia High School in 1948. He joined the Air Force (1948-1952) as an electrician aboard a B36 bomber and was stationed in Texas, then Germany. Chuck married Joyce Polk on March 13, 1954, and moved to Santa Clara in 1958 where he remained until his death. Chuck worked for years as a construction electrician until heart problems forced his early retirement. Chuck was a long time member of Hope Lutheran Church and the Electric Automobile Association. Chuck's parents were Ernest Theodore Olson (d. 1968) and Grace Elaine (Trask) Olson (d.1992). Chuck was predeceased by his parents, brothers Irwin, Richard, Don, sister Marvel, and son Raymond. Chuck left behind his daughters Charlotte Elaine Cardenas (South Carolina), Jeannette Rae Olson (Iowa), and Lorraine Belle Bonilla (Texas) and son-in-laws Antonio Jesus Cardenas and Jeffrey Dean Kushkowski; grandchildren Disa Joyce Cardenas, Celena Rose Cardenas, and Elaine Elizabeth Kushkowski. Memorial donations can be made to the Heart Association . A graveside service will be held at Mission City Memorial Park, 420 N. Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara on June 15, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.
