Mr. Marcure was born May 30, 1910 in Frenchtown, the son of Ubald and Lucy Marcure. He attended grade school there and graduated from Loyola High School, Missoula.
He worked in Missoula for 10 years for J.R. Daily, Inc., then moved to Kalispell in 1946 and bought the North Side Grocery. He operated it and also the meat department at Carl's Market Basket until he retired in 1965. He married Jeanette J. Bras, ec 16, 1941 in Missoula.
He was a member of the Catholic faith, a 30-year member of the B.P.O.E. and the Montana State Food Distributors Assn. He was an overseas veteran of the Army during World War II.
Surviving besides his wife Jean at the home, are his two sons, Jack Marcure, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Bill Marcure, Whitefish; one daughter, Mrs. Tom (Janice) Hammerel, Billings; his sister, Mrs. Juliette Marcure, Missoula; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
