Betty Jean (Pike) Ashby , 78, died May 11, 2011 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, She was born on February 15, 1933 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Margaret Cecil Pike.
She was a member of Ralph Avenue Baptist Church and Shively Star Chapter 566,O.E.S.
Survived by her husband of 60 years William T. Ashby; sons, James T. Ashby and Gerald "Jerry" Ashby (Lana); granddaughter, Lori Hollon (Junior); great-grandchildren, Savannah, Phylisha, Philip, Vinnessa and Thomas.
Funeral service is Saturday at 10 a.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West). Visitation is Friday from 2-8 p.m. Arrangements by Owen Funeral Home.
