MULLINS - John F. Nesbit, 62, died of a heart attack at his home here Monday night. Funeral services were held from the family residence Wednesday, with interment in the Methodist cemetery at Centenary. The Rev. J. T. Peeler and the Rev. C. P. Chewning were in charge of the services.
Mr. Nesbit, who was the son of the late Robert and Susan Poppenheim Nesbit, had lived in Mullins for a score or more of years, and was engaged in the mercantile business in North Mullins at the time of his death.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruby Burkett Nesbit, formerly of Charleston; two sons, Franklin Nesbit and Chalmers Nesbit; and a sister, Mrs. Rosa Lee Mullinix of Columbia.
