Lorencz Schady emigrated from Glogon, Trovi, Austria (now Glogonj Serbia) in 1907 with his wife, Cecelia Magysrov Schady, who is also buried here in Woodlawn. Their sons William, Joseph (buried in Woodlawn), Frank, and Theresa Jacobsen (buried in Woodlawn). Lorencz and his three sons founded the last wheelright shop in Manhattan, located on E 68th St, where they repaired the spoked wheels for the Model A and T cars in the early 20th century. He was my great grandfather; his son William was my grandfather.
