Jennie Frances Gettinger, 84, of the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center, formerly of White Township, died Thursday afternoon, June 9, 1988, in the Medical Center Beaver. Born Oct. 2, 1903, in Clarion County, Pa., a daughter of the late John E. and Emma Bish, she was a resident of the Beaver Valley since 1983, and a member of Brush Valley Brethren Church, Adrian, Pa. She was preceded in death by her husband Matthias E. Gettinger 11, on June 6, 1947; two sisters, Minta Long and Bessie Louden, and two brothers, Vernon and Clyde Bish. Surviving are four sons, Paul E. Bish, Greensburg; James Gettinger, Lehigh Acres, Fla.; and Earl Gettinger, Washington N.J.; two daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Lillian) Wolfe, White Township, and Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Lehlbach, Dunellen, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vincent Bish, Mount Pleasant, Pa., and three sisters, Hazel Musgrove, Oklahoma, Pa.; Sarah Railing, Greensburg, and Goldie Musgrove, Mammoth, Pa. Friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in CAMPBELL'S BEAVER FALLS, 14th Street and Eighth Avenue. Friends will also be received Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. in the Church of the Open Door, North Main St., Greensburg, with the Rev. Robert Satler officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Mount Pleasant.
