Marvin Bernard Benson, 78, Kenmare, formerly of Tolley, died Friday in a Minot hospital. Funeral Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Evangelical Lutheran Church, Tolley. Burial McKinney Cemetery, rural Tolley, in the spring.

Mr. Benson was born Aug. 6, 1903, at Alexandria, Minn., and was reared at Tolley. He married Mildred Alexander Oct. 23, 1935, at Mohall. He was employed by Soo Line Railroad until 1949 when the couple moved to Grano to operate the Grano Bar. In 1971 they moved to Mouse River Park, rural Tolley. They moved to Kenmare in 1981. He was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors: wife; daughter, Mrs. Robert (Della) Sandman, Lewistown, Mont.; sons, Alexander, Fresno, Calif., and Douglas, Jamestown; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call Monday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Anderson Mortuary, Mohall.
