Death of Mrs. Ann Parker
Mrs. Ann Parker, wife of the late Redmond Parker, died Monday afternoon at the residence of Mr. Uriah Vaughan, aged about 70 years. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon from the Baptist church and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. S. Saunders, assisted by Rev. M. T. Plyler. The interment was in the Vaughan lot, at the Southall cemetery. She was an estimable lady and a devout Christian. She was the oldest member of the Baptist church here, her membership having beem transferred from the Meherrin church when the church was organized in 1842.
