His parents were Johann Daniel Weiershausen and Anna Christine Ankel Weiershausen.
He immigrated from Manderbach, Nassau to Texas in 1845 with his parents and siblings (Catherine, Friedrich, Anna and Johann) aboard the "Auguste Meline". Sadly, his mother and youngest brother Johann age 1.5 died at Indianola, Texas.
Both Heinrich and his father Daniel signed the petition that was submitted to the Texas State Legislature 15 Dec 1847 requesting the formation of Gillespie County from parts of Bexar and Travis counties.
In 1850 the family is living in Fredericksburg:
His father, Daniel age 42 is a carpenter
Heinrich age 21
Catherine age 19
also in the home is Elizabeth Herman age 50 (she continues to live with the family and in 1880 is listed as a great aunt, so she is either Daniel or Christine's widowed sister)
(Friedrich and Anna are not listed on the 1850 census).
Heinrich married Henriette Flick on 6 August 1851.
In 1860 they were living in Caldwellshill, Gillespie County, Texas with their 2 children. Living nearby are Herman Flick and Conrad Bock.
21 Feb 1860 Heinrich has a land grant for 160 acres in Gillespie County.
Heinrich's widow remarried 7 Nov 1865 in Gillespie County to Peter Gold, Sr. She was a sister to Herman Flick, who survived the Nueces River Battle but was captured by a Confederate detachment near Medio Creek, an intermittent stream in Medina County. He was hanged, probably on 20 August 1862.
Heinrich Weyershausen left behind two children: Mary and William.
Siblings:
Catherine Weiershausen Kusenberger
