Kayla Lynn Shives Boyd, 28, of Tifton died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The Rev. Jimmie Hinson and the Rev. Clinton Moore will officiate with burial to follow in Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. Josh Shives, Buck Moore, Buck Hartley, Jeremy Dean, Clay Yelverton and Tony Pettiford will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Lady Devils softball teams from 1996 through 2001. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ms. Boyd was born on March 7, 1983 in Hinesville and was the daughter of Michael Moore and Wendy Shives Moore, both of Tifton. She worked as a Public Relations Specialist at Michael Moore's Auto Paint and Body Shop in Tifton. She loved everybody and loved helping them and had a big heart for others.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Boyd is survived by her paternal father, John Scott Boyd of Jesup; one sister and brother-in-law, Niki Boyd and Roy Dasher; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Jr. and Susie Moore and Josh and Gina Moore; her grandparents, Lloyd and Carolyn Moore of Tifton and Hilda E. Shives of Hinesville; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Ellie Mae.
