J. L. Atteberry Dies in Upton Wednesday

J. L. Atteberry, a resident of Upton, Kentucky, and a well known citizen of that community and county was claimed by death yesterday morning at the hour of 8:15 at his home. He was 54 years old and had been in a critical stage of health for a number of weeks before his death.

Mr. Atteberry was an employee of the L. & N. Railroad Company for approximately thirty years. He held the position as operator at the L. & N. depot in Upton when he was overtaken by illness, this position he held for a number of years previously.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Earnestine Atteberry; one daughter, Tillie Jean; one son, Lawrence Atteberry, Jr., all of Upton; one sister, Mrs. John Balduf of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and one brother, W. H. Atteberry of Munfordville.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Upton Methodist Church, of which he was a member at 2:oo o'clock today. The service will be in charge of a former pastor, a close friend of the deceased. Interment will follow in the Munfordville Cemetery.
