Evelyn Joyce Lyles was born July 13, 1937, along with twin sister Doris Jean, to parents Cora B. Johnson Lyles and Ewing Pearl Lyles in Scottsville, Kentucky. She had two brothers Aaron and Charles as well as older sister Dorothy. She was raised in Scottsville and attended Allen County High School. She married Tom B. Gregory in 1957 and they settled in Nashville, Tennessee and had no children. They divorced in the early 60's and Joyce remained in Nashville. Later on, she married Frank Lazenby of Nashville. They had no children and divorced in the 70's. Joyce worked in the Nashville area and retired. She died at home on November 18, 2002 and was buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Scottsville, Ky. where her twin sister Jean Lyles Meador was buried and where her mother Cora B. Lyles (Adams) was buried.
