Thomas Jefferson Luman was the eleventh and youngest child born to JJ (Jack) and Martha Luman. He was just 5 years old when his father died in January 1878. Tom married Anna Hoopaw December 17, 1889. They had 17 children, 7 of which died as infants and 3 as young adults. Tom was a farmer living in the Arkansas River bottoms when he contracted malaria and died 3 weeks later when pneumonia took over.
