Ottumwa ---Marvel Anna Emaline Shoemaker, 79, of 910 West Second Street died at 3:30am July 19, 1995 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born June 12, 1916 in Laddsdale to Alva and Laura Belle Stater Christy. She married Sam Anderson on April 21, 1934 in Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death March 29, 1960.
She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and worked at Nicoson Paint.
She is survived by three daughters, Norma Jean Fredrickson of Fremont, Marilyn Joyce Watts of Ottumwa, and Mary Jane Major of Kirksville, Missouri; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren and brother, Raymond Christy of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
The service will be at 10:00am Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church, the Rev. Ival Robinson, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will begin after 10am today at Shrine Memories Funeral Home and after 9am Thesday at the church. Family will be present from 7-8 today at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Peggy Bell, Sam Fredrickson, Michele Miller, and Sarah, Julie, and Lewis Major.
Memorials may be made to American Lung Association.
