OCEAN PARK — Marva E. Martin, 57, died of natural causes at her Ocean Park residence on May 3, 2011. Born Nov. 8, 1954, in Seattle, her ancestry was native Aleut and Caucasian.

She was employed as a secretary/clerk at the University of Washington in Seattle for a number of years. Three years ago she moved to Ocean Park with her partner, Steve Wonser. She enjoyed the serenity of the Peninsula, was a kind and gentle soul, and was a friend to many and a spiritual soul proud of her native ancestry. Over the years she led many people to the Lord and her family takes comfort in knowing that she rests in heaven forever.

Besides her partner and best friend Steve, survivors include her daughters, Marian Martin and Marie Cahoon, both of Ellensburg; her aunt, Bevronia; nephew, Zach Martin; and other members of her extended family.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m., at Ocean Park United Methodist Church. Her guest book is available at www.penttilaschapel.com.
