Rodney Blake, Morganville, died at the Clay County Hospital Wednesday September 7, 1988, at the age of 52. He was born April 22, 1936 in Haddam, the son of Henry and Frena Cales Blake.


He grew up in the Haddam community. He married Kathy Ross on November 1, 1962. He worked for Contel Telephine Co. for 28 years, and was the telephone lineman in Morganville the past five years.


He is survived by his wife, Kathy of the home; one son, Troy of the home; three brothers: Bill of Sidney, Nebr., Donel of Scottsbluff, Nebr., Jim of Olatha.


Funeral services were held Friday, September 9, 2 p.m. at the Haddam United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Robert Stout. Interment in Haddam Cemetery.
